On Saturday, March 12 Vleeshal organized a film screening of Simone Forti’s News Animations. Started by Forti in the 1960's the News Animations series has become a recurring element of her oeuvre: “I used to do news animations all the time. I just found the whole stories, I don’t know, so full of action. So much stuff” Forti writes in her publication Oh, Tongue. Axel Wieder, director of Index: The Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation in Stockholm, and exhibition partner of Here It Comes, gave an introduction to the film screening.

Prior to the film screening there was also a performance of one of Forti’s Dance Construction, See Saw (2016) by artists Mie Frederikke Fischer Christensen and Margaux Parillaud.
