Manchmal Sind Welche Nackt, which was shown two times at the opening of Art Rotterdam, deals with the subject of meat as a surface for exploitation, limits and emancipation. Afterwards, an echo of these performances in the form of sculptures, costumes and an audio recording were left in Vleeshal’s booth for visitors to encounter throughout the fair.
Les Trucs were also participating in Vleeshal's group show Why Patterns?, a title borrowed from a 1978 composition by Morton Feldman with the same name. Morton Feldman was one of many internationally renowned composers and musicians that Ad van ‘t Veer brought to Middelburg for his high-profiled festival Nieuwe Muziek, which ran between 1976 and 2003. In paying homage to this history, while also looking to the future, Why Patterns? brought together both contemporary and historical artists who in their practice explore forms of coincidence and improvisation.

In 2015 Vleeshal kicked of its Nomadic Program, as an extension of its existing exhibition program in Middelburg. In its Nomadic Program Vleeshal goes on tour, organising exhibitions and other events in collaboration with venues in the Netherlands and abroad, such as Art Rotterdam, Amsterdam Art Weekend, the Spring Performance Festival, WIELS Art Book Fair, Brussels and Poppositions, Brussels.
This project was made possible by the generous support of the Mondriaan Fund and the municipality of Middelburg.
