The Icelandic artist Magnus V. Gudlaugsson (1954) is from an artist group in Reykjavik, which founded the Living Arts Museum with own resources in 1978. This museum has a growing international collection of contemporary art and, besides the Academy for Icelandic Artists, is the most important vehicle for realizing and promoting the latest art developments from home and elsewhere.
Magnus V. Gudlaugsson does not only use paradoxes and contradictions to make sense of things, but to open the door to a truly interesting world.
